Paramedic Descriptions
At Peterborough County-City EMS there are two levels
of Paramedics who provide emergency medical care to the community:
Both levels of Paramedics are able to provide basic
life support, as well as controlled medical acts. Controlled medical acts,

Emergency Room Base Hospital Physician. The Base Hospital maintains direct
medical oversight of these controlled acts.
